Sindri Anderson
She/Her
I once was a theatre professional, performing in a variety of plays - from Shakespeare re-interpretations to original works staged with community members on social issues.
I love to create surprises and events (and surprise events) - drawing on a vast storeroom of costumes collected across 3 generations
Coach | Managing Member | Senior Consultant
Curiously, I’ve lived into the myth of my first name. In Nordic mythology, Sindri is the metalsmith who fashions amulets of beauty and magic for the gods. Yes, a primitive but potent form of leadership development! From my very early days, I have sought to support and equip others to realize their potential. As I woke up to the injustices of our world, I became deeply motivated by the Buddhist philosophy of alleviating suffering as the path to individual and collective betterment. This has led to my nearly 30-year career in organizational and human development.
My consulting approach is grounded in the belief that all aspects of what it is to be human must be engaged to achieve true growth...our imagination & dreams as well as our blind spots and fears. I also focus on the systemic context, exposing and addressing marginalization and inequity as part of the work. For Activate, I lead our DEI practice and provide organizational consulting and individual coaching.
I began my career in organizational development at a multi-divisional site at Hewlett-Packard leading the diversity program there. I led Levi Strauss & Co’s North America’s Learning & Development function, including DEI programming, and was the Head of Organizational Effectiveness at Context Integration and Wind River. As co-founder of Enact Leadership, I consulted to a wide variety of organizations, from small non-profits to large global corporations. I earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MFA in Theatre from the University of Iowa and a BA in Russian from Carleton College.
